About the Artists:
The Community Arts Center’s Permanent Collection spans 50 years of diverse art. This collection ranges from Shirley Gaynor-founder, to charter members such as: Sally Stewart, Kathy Sharer, Evelyn Picking, Van Clemenson, Marjorie Coleman Harris, including ten paintings of nationally recognized artist Helen Price. Other featured artists include: Ralph Clemenson, Dan Helsel, Hilda Fink, Julius Mehok, Richard Newill, Kathy Burk, Marcene Glover, Dorothy Sheridan, Ken Cotlar, and close to thirty others. Special interest pieces include the 1987 “Constitution Quilt” created and quilted by twenty-two members of the Log House Quilters Guild and a signed Maurice Sendak poster of the “Where the Wild Things Are” book, acquired when Maurice was guest speaker at a CACCC luncheon hosted in his honor.
