We are pleased to announce that through grant monies awarded to us, we are offering an art workshop geared to the deaf and hard of hearing children of our area and surrounding areas.

This project is a FREE one time workshop held on

CHILDREN WILL BE GROUPED ACCORDING TO SCHOOL GRADE.


Kindergarten-4th Grade Students:10:00AM to 12:30PM

5th-8th Grade Students:1:00PM to 3:30PM


 

 The children’s Language of Art workshop will focus on two mediums, Acrylic and watercolor painting. Please call the Community Arts Center at 814-255-6515 to regsiter.

A FREE 6-week Art Series, for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Adults,

will be held on THURSDAY EVENINGS 6:00-8:00pm
 
For Adults aged 15 and up

October 12th through November 16th, 2017




The Fall session will cover the exploration of Visual Art through the use of watercolor and acrylic painting, pencil and pastel drawing, and photography. A second session will be offered in early 2018, the second session will focus on Hands-On Arts such as clay, mixed media, pottery, and glass fusion. As part of the culmination of the program, the Community Arts Center of Cambria County will host an exhibition, reception and performance for all participating students.




​As recipient of a Creative Arts Health Impact Award, in support of their innovative arts programming, the Community Arts Center of Cambria County is excited to offer a FREE arts series of classes and workshops geared to the deaf and hard of hearing adults and children in Cambria County and the surrounding region. A variety of art making experiences designed to encourage visual self-expression and promote understanding of the unique beauty and challenges of the Deaf Cultural Community will be lead by Art Enrichment Instructor, Beverly J. Struble.
